Veganism Standing Tall!

Updated: Jun 20, 2020

Grazing, Standing tall, and Powerful!

With so much new information, different perspectives going on, and change in views, there is still one prejudice I feel hasn't been touched on enough these days... That eating vegetables is weak and should be eaten by prey. There is a dogma towards predatory lifestyles, and a stigma that predators are superior. I know, growing up watching a variety of nature shows, I was fascinated by these relationships of predator and prey. Reminiscing as a child I would imagine myself as one of these predators, idolizing these beings as I would a super hero. I watch my son and his new found fascination for sharks! The dynamics of survival for both predator and prey are compelling, inspiring, and also tragic. What I came to find out in life is the cinematic of wild life documentaries. In order to gain an audience and interest these documentaries will have a theatrical spin on the actual events that occurred...

Maybe predators aren't as cool or impressive as we make them out to be...

So we have this mindset that predators are doing what they want, are only bound by their natural limitations, and prey is subject to their will. The truth which is immensely obvious, is that no one is willing to lose their life for a meal, and that the real task for prey is to not make it easy. Predators to avoid injuries that could result in death, due to infection or debilitation, will focus on preying on the young, old, and sick. Why make it any more difficult then that and if you find that hard to believe, just look at ourselves. How many of us would love a healthier diet and lifestyle, but fall into the bad habits again just for convenience. This perspective sparked curiosity to investigate the definition of strength. Admiration for those animals that stand out in the fields for all to see versus those that need to hide, sneak, and creep through the grass.

The benefits of plant based foods on our bodies is something to be proud of. An assimilation to the most powerful beings in the world. When you begin to learn about all the fascinating ways it improves the quality of life you realize doing so gives you a sense that your closer to nature. Pound you chest! Buck high! Strut your stuff. Stand Tall. You mighty "Sentinel".
